A highlight of Sining na Buhay is the performance by the UC Featured Artists, a dynamic group of students and performers who create visually stunning and engaging experiences. This year, they will enchant the audience with a medley of beloved Disney songs, delivering heartfelt renditions of timeless classics that have captured the hearts of many. In addition, the featured artists will pay homage to iconic Filipino classics, with performances of memorable songs like “Bato sa Buhangin” and “Minsan Ang Minahal Ay Ako.” Through their harmonious voices and captivating stage presence, the featured artist will transport the audience back in time, celebrating the beauty of Filipino music and bridging generational gaps with nostalgia.

The UC Chorale

Under the expert direction of Walter Mang-usan, the UC Chorale will enrich the evening with their emotional depth and musicality. Their performance will begin with “Pasko Nanaman,” a festive Filipino Christmas classic, transitioning into the touching Latin lullaby “Duerme Negrito.” The chorale will elevate the energy with “One Day More” from Les Misérables, an anthem filled with passion and anticipation, before concluding their set with “Tagumpay Nating Lahat,” a powerful Filipino anthem that celebrates unity and pride.

The UC Percussion and Orchestra

The evening would not be complete without the exhilarating performances from the UC Percussion and Orchestra, led by Paul Louie Serrano. The event kicks off with an electrifying Drumline Exhibition, showcasing the precision and energy of the percussion section. The Wind Instrument Ensemble follows, delivering a sophisticated presentation of brass and woodwind instruments. The orchestra then performs a dramatic rendition of “Titanium,” emphasizing themes of strength and resilience, before presenting “A Filipino Portrait,” a musical tribute to the rich culture of the Philippines.
