The Milo Cheerdance Competition in Subic was held on August 24, 2025, at the Remy Field within the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA). As a vibrant highlight of the 2025 Milo National Marathon, the event brought together a diverse array of talented teams representing the elementary, high school, and college divisions. With spirited performances and fierce competition, the day celebrated not only athleticism and teamwork but also the unifying power of dance across all age groups.
Preparation and Skill Development
As the team prepared for this year’s event, Head Coach Dr. Peejay Natiola and Co-Coach Mr. Kenneth Antonio focused on two primary goals. The first was Skill Development and Sportsmanship, aiming to elevate the team’s cheerleading abilities while fostering strong sportsmanship and camaraderie among members. The second goal was to increase team participation by encouraging greater involvement from schools, clubs, and communities. This effort is sought to enhance the competition’s diversity and promote a deeper sense of unity across different regions.
Supporting Sustainable Development Goals
The initiatives undertaken by the University of the Cordilleras Dance Squad align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 and 4, which prioritize the well-being of individuals and emphasize the significance of quality education. Through our participation in this friendly yet competitive competition, the University of the Cordilleras Dance Squad believe that they can learn the technical skills needed to be at par with international standards in terms of this competition. Also, to promote good health and well-being for all, while the group is immersed in an environment that fosters personal growth and learning experiences.
Their remarkable achievements shine as a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished through a clean, precise routine, exceptional skill, and boundless creativity fueled by the unstoppable force of teamwork, dedication, and a relentless drive for excellence. With a solid foundation built on safety and continuous skill development. As they leave an unforgettable mark on the national stage, they also lead the way in inspiring future generations of cheerleaders and dancers to dream bigger and push further. This is more than a legacy, it’s a movement. “The Legacy continues”.
