TAYTAYAW 2026: UC CCP Opens the Stage to the Next Generation of Student-Artists

The University of the Cordilleras Center for Creative Productions (UC-CCP) launched TAYTAYAW 2026, its search for the next generation of CCP Artists, to discover emerging talent among incoming UC Senior High School (SHS) and college students. Through online auditions and live performance assessments, the initiative provided aspiring student-artists with an accessible platform to showcase their talents and explore opportunities to join the university’s creative community.

Announced on August 12, 2026, the search received 103 online audition entries. Applicants submitted a one-minute-and-30-second video featuring a brief self-introduction and a demonstration of their talent through the official online submission form, accessible via a link or QR code. Following the initial screening, 25 auditionees qualified for the live auditions, and 12 finalists advanced to the final round, held on September 16, 2026, at the UC Gymnasium.

To accommodate applicants who missed the online submission deadline, UC-CCP also welcomed walk-in auditionees during the Freshies’ Day 2026 open house on September 16. The first round of live auditions ran from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, followed by the final round from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Through this process, the Center combined digital submissions and in-person assessments to expand access to its talent search.

The Top 3 overall auditionees across all categories received automatic scholarships, a provision not announced in the original audition guidelines. The awards recognize their performance and provide an opportunity to pursue their education while developing their artistic skills at the University of the Cordilleras.

TAYTAYAW 2026 supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, particularly Target 4.4, by providing opportunities for students to develop and demonstrate their artistic skills. It also contributes to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, particularly Target 3.4, by promoting creative expression in support of student well-being.

The initiative also advances the Center’s Key Result Areas (KRAs). Under KRA 3: Sustainability and Social Responsibility That Foster Impactful Change, it supports Goal 5 (KRA G5), which promotes staff and student participation in initiatives that reflect UC’s culture and strengthen community identity. Under KRA 4: An Innovative Digital Ecosystem That Transforms Academic and Business Processes, it supports Goal 8 (KRA G8) through online submissions, digital registration forms, QR codes, and pre-registration to streamline processes and improve accessibility.

Through TAYTAYAW 2026, UC-CCP continues to identify emerging talent, support student development, and provide opportunities for aspiring performers to participate in the university’s creative community.
