Baguio City Lights Up with Harmony at the 16th Inter-School Chorale Competition

Baguio City, December 15, 2024 — In a vibrant celebration of music, community, and the Christmas spirit, Baguio City successfully hosted the 16th Inter-School Chorale Competition at the Cordillera Convention Hall. This much-anticipated event brought together schools from across the region in a spectacular showcase of talent, with young voices filling the hall with harmony and joy.

Organized to embody the essence of Christmas and cultural unity, the event featured three categories: Grade School, High School, and Open Category.

The competition commenced promptly at 2 PM, starting with the Grade School performances, followed by the High School and Open Category presentations. Each group performed two pieces—one compulsory for all competitors and one chosen Christmas song—highlighting their interpretation, creativity, and musicality.

Among the most notable performances in the Open Category was that of the University of the Cordilleras Chorale, under the direction of Joshua Keanu Isanan, a proud former member. The group was further supported by Mr. Peejay C. Natiola (Director of the Center for Creative Productions) and Mr. David Lance O. Escudero (Production Coordinator).
