Rhythms of Love: UC Featured Artists Celebrate Valentine’s Day Through Music

On February 14, 2026, the University of the Cordilleras (UC) Featured Artists presented Rhythms of Love, their annual Valentine’s concert, at the UC Gymnasium. The program blended Original Pilipino Music (OPM) with well-loved international hits, exploring the many facets of love through song.

A Journey Through Love

The concert opened with enduring classics that reflected affection, devotion, and admiration. As the program progressed, the selections captured the excitement of falling in love, the hope of second chances, and the courage to begin anew.

The second segment took a lighter view of romance, portraying both the charm and the complexities of relationships. The mood then turned reflective as selected members of the UC Orchestra performed contemporary Filipino songs that explored sacrifice, vulnerability, self-discovery, and resilience amid life’s uncertainties.

The concert closed with songs of hope, reconciliation, and lasting commitment. The finale symbolized unity, belonging, and the enduring nature of genuine love.

Advancing the University’s Mission

Beyond showcasing musical talent, Rhythms of Love reflected UC’s commitment to the holistic development of its students through the arts. By providing a platform for creative expression, cultural appreciation, and experiential learning, the concert supported Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education. It also promoted emotional well-being, self-expression, and meaningful social connection through music, in line with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being.

The event also advanced Key Result Area 3, Goal 5 of the UC Center for Creative Productions, which aims to increase staff and student participation in initiatives that strengthen UC’s culture, foster community identity, and promote sustainable social impact.

As the final notes echoed through the gymnasium, Rhythms of Love left the audience with a deeper appreciation of music’s power to inspire, connect, and celebrate shared human experience. Through the talent and dedication of the Featured Artists and UC Orchestra members, the concert fostered creativity and community, making this year’s Valentine’s celebration a memorable one.
